“Scam”

I would advise caution with this place; everything was terrible. The biggest let‑down was that the host switched my accommodation just the day before I arrived, telling me I’d have to stay 40 min drive from the original location. Taxis are pricey, and a round‑trip to the city costs $200. There’s no food nearby, so you’re forced to drive into town. Since I paid directly, I can’t get a refund, meaning I’m stuck with the new spot and the extra taxi expense. I don’t recommend it.

“Špatná komunikace”

The accommodation was located right in the centre, just a few metres from markets, bakeries, restaurants, and main bus stops, which was great. The kitchen and room equipment were comfortable for cooking and storage. However, communication was an issue: on 5.7 I told them how I wanted to pay, but no one responded. The day before arrival I arranged to pay cash at another property, which was fine. The next morning, when we were supposed to check in, I received instructions to pay immediately and not delay, claiming my check‑in was early and that I should send proof of payment right away. Suddenly cash payment was no longer possible. I could have imagined a quieter holiday without such confusion. Our experience at their other property was even worse.

I stayed in a lovely cottage on the upper floor, true Tongan style, with a small balcony. Having a washing machine and detergent was handy for laundry. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The lane was dark and dirty, but it was close enough to town. Reaching staff via WhatsApp for any questions was very easy.

“Unsatisfactory”

The location of this place was okay, and the bed was comfortable enough. But that's where the positives end. The airport transfer was way overpriced, and when we checked in, we were left high and dry with no WiFi password, no key, and no way to contact the staff. To make matters worse, there was no aircon or fan to speak of, and the place was infested with mosquitoes. It was a hot and miserable night, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
