The service was good and breakfast was really tasty, filling, and varied. The bathroom was very small and the shower box was leaking.

I really liked how the staff greeted us, and the breakfast was flawless; I’ll definitely come back. The only complaint was the room’s heat – the air conditioning didn’t cool, it just gave a slight chill.

This charming pousada could be called an art hotel. Next to the sea it shows a wonderful mix of colorful, shaped remains of old boats and fish pictures, complemented by wooden furniture. The room was comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was very good. I liked the coastal location halfway between Arraial do Cabo and Cabo Frio in the nice area of Praia Foguette. Frequent buses pass nearby and can be cheaply and easily used to explore Arraial, Cabo do Frio and Búzios. A few dogs in the area barked a lot, but it was only a minor issue. Between the pousada and the beach is a small lake surrounded by reeds; it wasn’t visible from my room downstairs, but if you climb the stairs to other rooms you can appreciate the view.
