The room was nice and spacious, and the staff were super helpful, but parking was a bit difficult; the hotel advertised free parking yet actually offers a valet service.

The location was prime, close to the open museum of Smyrna, Clock Tower, the pier, and Basmane station – a 5‑minute walk – but we had our room changed due to technical problems and the new room smelled; despite room fresheners, the main restroom kept smelling. Considering the brand name and prices, Ramada should do better!

The breakfast spread was varied, the on‑site restaurant was good, and late check‑out could be arranged for free depending on availability; the windows were fairly sound‑proof. However, the tables were cleared too quickly—often right after the last bite, so if you went to get coffee and returned, everything was already gone. Some breakfast staff could have been a bit friendlier, and most of them spoke almost no English, which is surprising for a four‑star hotel. Free small city maps would have been handy, but they’re not offered.
