NM Rest House

The villa is beautiful, the host is very friendly and helpful—this is the best experience I’ve had in Sri Lanka; everything is in order and you’ll find everything you need. There’s a water filter, a good washing machine, a decent kitchen, and the manager is very cooperative and a great friend; everything matches the photos exactly.

The place was spotless and ultra‑modern, matching every photo exactly. The host was genuinely friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. The spot was ideal, just a short walk from the beach and close to shops and restaurants. The accommodation had all the comforts we needed. We absolutely loved it and would recommend it to anyone heading to Trincomalee! 😊

“Falta limpieza y atención a los detalles”

The house looked new and was huge, with two terraces and hammocks to lie on. A washer was available and they left fruit and cookies in the kitchen. Virtu was very pleasant and attentive, even preparing tea for us on the day we left and bringing us pasta 💚. The shower and toilet were dirty; the toilet lid had urine on it and the shower clearly hadn’t been cleaned in time. Although there were many extras like air conditioning and a fan, basic items were missing: the toilet and sink were separate, but the sink area had no towel hooks, no space for large suitcases or backpacks, and with one suitcase and one backpack the floor was too tight to move without hopping onto the bed. In the kitchen (though there were three rooms) there were only two cups and two sets of utensils. We were the only ones there, but we stayed several days and it wasn’t very comfortable. Also, we were told at 21:00 the day before that we could only pay in cash when we left at 7:00 am.

“If I were to come back to Trincomalee I'd definitely come back here”

This was the best place we stayed at and the only one that offered filtered drinkable water 24/7. The host was always helpful and kind, arranging a fantastic dolphin and coral reef tour with colorful fish. The kitchen is super clean and even has a dishwasher. There’s also a washing machine, which is very handy. Everything is new and functional. It’s the first place where the pictures truly match reality! Lucky to have found it!
