“Awesome little lodge”

The place was very quiet and the views were awesome, and my room was clean and pleasant to stay in; the staff were very impressive and the lobby itself was just beautiful. I would definitely recommend Smoke Tree Lodge to everyone I know and would stay here again. Nothing was wrong.

“1980s decor... 2026 prices”

The room was clean. It’s a 1980s motel with 2026 prices, and the decor, furniture, and bathroom are stuck in the 80s, so it’s overpriced for what it offers.

The fully equipped kitchen, plenty of towels, friendly staff, and impressive entrance were positives. The accommodation feels outdated and needs renovation; everywhere is carpeted, there are many stairs, which is inconvenient for those with mobility issues, and the room is more like an apartment.

“Exactly what you expect from the photos”

It's perfectly retro, friendly staff, great vibe of a 1970's ski lodge, but with modern amenities. The wifi was fast, which is great because cell service in the mountains isn't the greatest. We had a kitchen in our room and everything worked great, clean fridge, clean microwave, even came with plates, bowls, cups, etc. The pool and hot tub were great after a long day on our feet too! All in all, we'd stay here again without hesitation. The only negatives I could report were 2 small things and 1 that might have been my fault - 1: the water pressure in our room wasn't amazing, it worked, but it was a little low. and 2: the AC window units were a bit noisy, but not out of the ordinary for a window unit. Other than those, I couldn't figure out how to work the sauna, but that could just be me
