The air conditioning was great, and the bed and pillows were comfortable enough. However, the area is quite far from the beaches, so I wouldn't stay here if that’s what you’re after. It’s also next to a temple that played loud music from 6:30 am to 8:30 am nonstop, and again in the evening for another three hours nonstop; we were told after our stay it was due to a festival, but we didn't get good sleep because of it. At night four wasps came into our room. The kitchen facilities were not very clean, and there is no fridge.

The staff were lovely and attentive, even though their English was simple. The bed was comfortable, the air‑conditioning worked well and kept the room pleasant. The accommodation was very far from the tourist area (8 minutes by tuk‑tuk). The floor wasn’t very clean, and the bathroom didn’t give a sense of cleanliness. The breakfast was a bit plain compared to what is usually offered.

The family in charge of the place provided outstanding care, very friendly and helpful. The setting is quiet, but if you’re planning to visit Trincomalee or its beaches without a vehicle, it’s not ideal. They didn’t offer breakfast, even though we booked and paid for it. Overall, the room was basic, and the cleaning could be better. We found stains on the bed and openings in the wall that let insects in all night. The bed made a lot of noise when moving, making it hard to sleep.

“Very average, nothing special”

The bed was comfy; we booked a room with two double beds and chose the one not directly affected by the air‑con. The air‑con was modern and easy to set. The staff were friendly. Initially we had no towels, toilet paper, or soap, but they were supplied after we asked, which was fine. The common areas can’t be used because there’s no air‑con and it’s way too hot. The room was small and didn’t look very clean – hair on the bed, stains, just typical Sri Lankan conditions. The glowing reviews don’t match reality.
