Hotel Duque de Najera

The spot is right next to the beach. The bathroom is spacious and adapted. The mattress is very uncomfortable; it should be replaced because it doesn’t allow proper rest.

The location is unbeatable, and the staff is just as good.

The rooms were clean and in good condition, and the overall atmosphere was peaceful with no noticeable noise.

“Not worth price.”

The location is great in the city centre, but there is no free parking – you have to pay at the hotel. The beach front room gives a view if you choose it. It is over‑priced and doesn’t live up to the hype from locals; it feels like a 3‑star hotel on the beach. The king bed was actually two beds pushed together. There’s only one overpriced, mediocre restaurant on site. Parking is paid and street parking is scarce. The front entrance is tiny, probably only fits two cars to unload, so you’ll block the street. Nothing is free, even pool towels require a €10 deposit – probably due to high theft. The lifeguard seemed annoyed we were the only ones at the pool, so he had to stay there and he was eager to return to his videos. I would save your money and stay at a cheaper hotel; there are many within walking distance to everything. Not worth the cost. I have stayed at five‑star hotels worldwide.
