It’s astonishing how decades of investment backlog show through: over‑painted tiles in the bathroom, junkyard furniture, underground interior and room décor, flaking paint everywhere, dirty armchairs by the reception, and more. Overall, the property feels like a sad cash cow. The beds were fine, but everything else was a mockery. Breakfast was plentiful, yet the ingredients were dull to the point of being subterranean, with stale rolls and cheap bread. Patina can be cozy, but in this building the state of neglect is brazen given the advertised price.
