“DIY Breakfast”

The rooms were clean and comfortable, but it was noisy at night. We were told that if we wanted breakfast we would have to cook it ourselves, which was a disappointment.

“A stressful, anxiety ridden stay made worse through indifferent dismissive staff and unclean conditions”

Not much to say, but the bed was comfy and the shower pressure was decent. The main problem was being given the wrong address upon arrival; we couldn’t find the place and had to call for help. The staff told us to go to 3‑4 Beech Mount, so we drove 20 minutes only to learn we were actually right at the start, and then drove another 20 minutes back. The staff member was new and mistakenly gave us the address for a different property owned by the same people. We received little apology and ended up late for a booked meal that evening. When we finally reached the building, we waited 10 minutes at the door with no answer, then had to call again. Another 5 minutes passed before a man appeared to let us in. We were met with a foul stench as we entered; everything seemed dirty. In our room there were stains on the curtains and mould on the walls. We understand it was a budget room, so we didn’t expect luxury, but cleanliness should be guaranteed regardless of the price. Clearer instructions are needed; if a house number had been provided on the booking, we probably would have found the place without a 40‑minute detour through Manchester. We wouldn’t stay here again.

They have not been faithful with their customers.

The staff were fine, but breakfast was not ready. You have to make it yourself, and there are very few options to create a good breakfast. It’s just bread, butter, eggs and fast coffee, nothing more. When you book the room, there is no information about having to make breakfast yourself.
