“Misleading photos as spread over two buildings, overpriced, disappointing”

The place was spotless, close to the lake and in the center (the town is tiny, so everything is central). We thought we were booking a room in a historic Tudor‑style building, but instead we ended up in a separate, 20th‑century building across the street that was retro in all the wrong ways. No character; the bathroom was cramped with a tiny shower and cheap, chintzy furnishings, and the owners were unreachable by text. For the price, it was wildly disappointing.

1. The mattress was sagging; to cope, we had to sleep with our heads on the foot end. 2. The shower room was so cramped that the curtain stuck to our bodies while showering. Because the bathroom was tight, the washing area was in the room. 3. The room, plus the steep stairs, is only suitable for young people and athletes.

“Wunderbare Unterkunft für einen Kurzaufenthalt”

The location is very accessible from the ferry, and the breakfast options are practically next door. A fan and mosquito net are provided. We liked being able to store drinks and groceries in the fridge. The mixed tap in the shower runs very hot.

The only soap available was a fixed bar, and there was too little storage space in the bathroom. I would have liked a toy chest or a shelf. There was no fridge in the room.
