Inside the tents everything was nice and the staff were friendly, but that was about it and I was very disappointed. I was extremely disappointed with the location—intended to be a quiet, natural setting, yet it was right next to a highway and a train line, so I had to use earplugs and still couldn’t sleep. The food was awful too.

The tent was spacious and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The site was right along the highway; upon arrival you receive earplugs for the train that rattles at night, but there’s also constant noise from the highway. The restaurant’s atmosphere was very mediocre, with a few tables directly next to the parking lot where you feel dust as a car drives away. The overall pleasant vibe we had at Under Canvas Grand Canyon was completely missing here.

Train horns blared all night and the location is right on the road, so there was no chance of sleep; the trains were there first, so I’m not sure why anyone would choose this spot. I still love Under Canvas—this was our third trip.

I love the Under Canvas brand and concept and enjoyed the “tent” feel; the beds are comfortable. The location, however, was a problem—there was very loud car noise all night and trains ran many times during the night.

The concept and staff were great, but it was extremely noisy because the site is right next to the highway and the train station, and I couldn’t get any sleep at all.
