“Schöne Wanderunterkunft”

The staff were very friendly, and the location by the forest edge was quiet and a great base for hikes. However, the whole hotel felt cold because the heating barely worked, and the rooms looked noticeably old. What really bothered me was having to keep the windows shut at night because the smoking area was right at the entrance, right in front of the room windows, inviting people to linger. Loud conversations went on past midnight, and the room had a constant stale smell.

The location and service staff were excellent, especially since they provided a lot of information about cycling options, free maps, and a separate covered bike storage that was very convenient. The main pillow in the bedroom was too soft, causing neck pain, and the bed itself was in need of replacement, so a renovation seems necessary. The hotel room was clean but dated, and the rooms were very noisy; better insulation would help. The restaurant prices seemed high to me, with a lasagna costing €22.00, which I found pricey.

The entire staff and the owners were friendly, and you could feel the passion in many small details. There were no problems, just solutions. Thank you very much.

“Jederzeit wieder 😍”

The silence outside and above Maikammer in the forest was perfect for our bike trips, whether heading up into the woods toward Klingenmünster or through the vineyards to the Rhine—great! We also enjoyed a monthly grill event in the hotel garden on beautiful weather days. Everything was very good.
