The room was clean, the TV had great channels, and it’s within walking distance of fast food, a Dollar General, and the Amtrak Station, which was why I stayed. The shower had good water pressure and hot water, and check‑in was quick and easy with a very nice lady. The location felt a bit sketchy: dogs barked late at night, many people lived in the hotel so there was a lot of comings and goings, and the noise from people hanging around outside was noticeable.

I was looking for a cheap place to rest my head, and this hotel delivered on that front. The price was right, and I was able to get a good night's sleep - despite the fact that the couple next door had their music blasting all night. I'm not a fan of loud music, but I'm also not one to complain. What really got to me, though, was that they didn't even provide soap in the bathroom.

The one good thing about this hotel was that it was quiet, which was a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of the surrounding area. Unfortunately, the neighborhood was a bit sketchy, and the curtains in my room were set up in a weird way - they didn't block out the light, and I could see the shadows of people walking by outside. It was a bit eerie, to be honest.

Great location, but unfortunately, that's where the positives end. The hotel had a major infestation of roaches, and to make matters worse, someone swiped my jumper cables from the back of my truck. To add insult to injury, there were full-time residents with their cats, and the noise level was through the roof.

The staff at this hotel were absolutely fantastic, going out of their way to make me feel welcome and help with any issues I had. Unfortunately, the room I was given was in a pretty bad state - it was clear that it hadn't been properly cleaned or maintained in a while. Despite this, the friendly service made up for a lot, and I'd definitely consider staying here again if they sort out the room situation.
