A tiny bakery on site offers sandwiches you can order for the next day, and the spot is a 3‑minute walk from the pier and a 5‑minute stroll to a fantastic restaurant overlooking the Mekong. The only hiccup was the noise when the neighbor in the room next to ours was in the bathroom – it felt like we were sharing the same space.

The lodging is adequate for the overnight stay between two slow‑boat days, and it sits just a stone’s throw from the jetty (the first guest house on the street). You can book meals for the following day, and there’s a “bakery” with coffee and pastries for breakfast. The room itself is fine, nothing special to note. The downside was finding ants on the floor – don’t leave your stuff on the ground.

A must‑stop on the Mekong trip from Thailand to Luang Prabang, this place is clean, comfortable, and right by the dock. They prepare sandwiches for the journey. The only drawback is the steep climb up the stairs, and there’s no water dispenser – they handed out bottled water instead.

Perfect for a one‑night stay, comfortable, affordable, and really close to the boat! Unfortunately we had an electrical outage, but it wasn’t the hotel’s fault. Wi‑Fi was slow and we struggled to get water for 30 minutes, yet I would still book again.
