The welcome felt like visiting a friend; the breakfast was proper 'English'; the room was spacious with a fantastic view; quiet, even with trains nearby that were not at all intrusive and very much part of Hope. Not much to say.

The property looks stunning, and we spent evenings on the balcony around the fire table. Pauline, the host, was very welcoming and offered excellent dining recommendations.
