“Nichts für Allergiker”

Das Plätschern vom Brunnen draußen auf dem Platz passt zur maritimen Deko. Haben uns nicht wohl gefühlt. Es wurde wohl Monate lang nicht richtig geputzt. Das Spannbettlaken hatte mehrere Löcher. Überall Spinnenweben. Der Fernseher ist leider nur Deko und nicht funktionsfähig. Das Bett war ausgelegt und Kissen und Decken ein Hauch von nichts. Die Steckdosenleisten auf den verstaubten Nachttischen könnten zum gefährlichen Brandherd werden. Zum Glück haben wir erst bei Abreise einen Blick unter das Bett gewagt. Ich denke die Bilder sprechen für sich.

The place was clean and a friendly gentleman helped us carry a suitcase upstairs, and you can park right next to the front door. However, I’ll never go back: the rooms were tiny, about 2 by 3 metres, basically just a bed with no table and a small window; church bells rang every hour, a fountain below kept running, and cars passed by, making it noisy. Outside it was 35 °C with no fan, so we kept the windows open and heard everything from the street. Our room was on the top floor, accessed by a steep staircase, and the shower was terrible.

Great location with solid bus connections, everything arrived on time. Whether you’re heading to Burg Eltz or Cochem, the town reveals more charm on a second look. Traveling by bus and train was hassle‑free, and the welcome was very warm and friendly. The owner was kind and extremely helpful. A Lidl supermarket is nearby for quick shopping. The room felt modern and, aside from a little dust on the headboard, was fine; the bathroom could use a more contemporary look, and there was also dust on the shower rail.
