Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Calgary Downtown

The hotel sits right in downtown Calgary, and the front‑desk staff were friendly. Prices are reasonable compared to nearby hotels. However, the rooms feel outdated, the mattresses are noticeably sagged, shower water pressure is weak so the stream is often soft, elevators can be slow, and the rooms are drafty with temperature hard to control—sometimes it was too hot a few times.

The location and parking were convenient. The toilet doors were faulty; both my partner and I injured our fingers because they wouldn’t close properly, acting more like a shower roller door than a solid door.

“Sincèrement désagreable”

I never actually stayed there. The old equipment made us change rooms at 23:00, the heating didn’t work, and the staff were unpleasant.

The location suited my business trip perfectly—close to the conference and all the amenities I needed, and I even discovered some great local restaurants. The room was a bit dark, and the gym door was jammed for most of my stay; the staff let me in and out, but it was stuck so I couldn’t open it.
