Hausboot Fjord Dory mit Biosauna in Schleswig

The view was beautiful, the spot close to the harbor and city was lovely—and not noisy. There’s a cozy restaurant nearby, an ice‑cream kiosk, and a nice park with a playground right next to it. It was great to have a sauna, but unfortunately there was no option to cool off in cold water because the harbor water wasn’t clean enough to bathe in or to get from the bridge and boat; you had to rely on air cooling or just take a shower. The cleanliness wasn’t as expected; there was some dust around corners, in the bedroom near the window, and in the bathroom. We would have liked communication in English as well, because the information sent was in German and hard to translate automatically (as here).

A houseboat holiday is truly something special, especially when the weather turns bad – you still find peace even in a storm and rain. The view of the water and the birdsong are simply wonderful. The location is also great, with all restaurants right outside the door and the city easily walkable. The beautiful Fischer Holm invites you to stroll, and we’ll definitely return. The sauna could use clearer instructions: turn on level 3 only, because level 4 doesn’t work. That’s something you have to know first.

“Ok”

The location was fantastic, the accommodation itself was beautifully furnished, and the sauna was great. But it was dirty – crumbs everywhere on the floor, dust, a wobbly and broken chair, spider webs all around. The toaster was unusable, hair in the bathroom and on the doormat, toothpaste in the sink. The sauna description was inadequate, so we had to call the emergency number.

The boat is very well equipped and cozy, and for us this holiday was a bit special. Everything was just fine.

“Schleswig ist eine Reise wert und wenn, dann doch recht maritim auf einem Hausboot.”

Friendly houseboat, perfect sanitary facilities and a very nice sauna. The kitchen equipment could be improved – we love cooking ourselves, but the utensils required a lot of improvisation.
