The natural hot spring large bath, the free drink bar that includes alcohol, the ability to bring your own food, and the dryer at the reception are all great. The bathroom and toilet space in the room is cramped, and the toilet’s angle is poor.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfasts were terrific and worth the money. The location is very convenient, with buses to all the tourist spots right outside the front door. The Japanese‑style bath isn’t large but is adequate. However, the bathroom is tiny even by Japanese standards, which put a negative spin on my stay; I could barely fit in it by myself, being of average height and weight for a Westerner.

The building and rooms had a clean feel. The room lacked a stovetop coffee maker, and the twin room had connected beds.

The room and bed are spacious, the welcome drink stays open late, and it’s good that you can bring food. The toilet and washbasin are a bit narrow.
