The staff were very welcoming and attentive. The location is perfect, facing the port and a 2‑minute walk to the city centre. The breakfast was disappointing for the level of the hotel: very few options, no cutlery for the service, only two kinds of quiche, a few Italian pastries, some ham, and no fruit. It was a shame because everything else was great.

I stayed nine nights in a junior suite called "Maestrale" and the location and port view were great, but the staircase of six steps between the bathroom and the room was a surprise not mentioned in the description. The bed was very uncomfortable and caused lower back pain that I reported to reception, but nothing was done. The bathroom was barely equipped, the kettle and coffee maker were unusable because they were very dirty, and getting two plastic cups was a struggle. Breakfast was a let‑down for a four‑star hotel: no hot dishes, only frozen bread and pastries that were only available on request because the stock was low, served on a poorly maintained terrace with a dusty floor. The view from the terrace was stunning, yet it deserved better setup.

The 1700‑s‑old noble palace was impressive, and there were no complaints.

The only thing that could be criticized is that the breakfast was the cheapest I’ve ever seen in any hotel I’ve stayed in Italy, which doesn’t match the high level of the hotel.
