Lovely old pub serving excellent food. The room was a decent size, well equipped, and had a large bathroom. All the staff couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful. Road noise.

Lovely quaint pub with rooms. The en suite room was lovely and the location is very good on a bus route into the city or walkable by the river—about a 40‑minute walk. Service was good, staff lovely, and food good. Nothing to report.

The bedroom was well equipped and cosy, though it got very hot. Breakfast was tasty too.

Excellent location with free parking which is a bonus in York. Bus stop close by with regular buses into the city. Staff really friendly and helpful . Room was great yes there is some road noise but didn't stop us having a good nights sleep. Breakfast was excellent and we had an evening meal which again was excellent. Would advise to book for evening meal we were there mid week and it was busy. Would definitely stop here again when visiting the city

The rustic charm and friendly service made for a comfortable stay, and the bed and breakfast were great.
