“位置比较难找,但是女生三人间,只有我一人入住,还是非常舒适。”
The room was fairly large and comfortable. The owner was quite nice. The floor in the room could use a wipe‑down; there was dust.

The place is within walking distance of the station, in a quiet residential area. Checking in before 9 pm shows great consideration for the neighbors (I’m a long‑time Kyoto resident and felt this way, sorry if that’s not the reason). I stayed here the night before a trip on the Kumano Kodo trail and caught the first bus without any trouble. I asked the staff several questions and they answered politely. I booked a female shared room, but I was the only guest, so it was very comfortable. Thank you. The only thing is that the shared toilet isn’t uncommon, but if there were two, it might be better to separate them. Personally, I think that having a sink in the private room means that when someone else is using it, you have to use the kitchen sink instead. The shower room felt cramped even for my 155 cm height. There’s a simple basket, but the changing area is even smaller… If possible, it would be better to have the bath outside. The room light remote didn’t work; not sure if the battery is dead, but it’s worth checking regularly.

The place was cheap and peaceful, though I noticed hair on the floor and there was only a shower, so if you want to soak you might be disappointed.

The staff was friendly and helpful, even though I forgot his name, and he spoke in short English with a translation app; the room was very clean, the Japanese bedding was comfortable, and the kitchen was well‑equipped, though I didn’t get to use it because I arrived just before midnight after a five‑hour train delay caused by heavy rain. I kept the staff updated through the message box and he replied quickly, which made me feel secure in the unexpected situation. Towels and a yukata were provided, which was a great plus. I’m not sure about the soundproofing because I think I was the only guest that day, but it was really quiet, partly because I was alone and the hotel is in a residential area. The only downside was that the area was pretty dark at night and the entrance wasn’t obvious in the darkness.

The kitchen was neatly organized and I could enjoy a delicious cup of coffee, but the slippers were worn out.
