We were dog‑friendly and the staff, especially the owner, were very nice. Our room was on the ground floor, which was convenient for the dog but not ideal with the morning traffic – though that’s a matter of taste. The real downside was the noise at night: a neighbour on the floor above used a phone speaker at 23:30, shouting so loudly that sleep was impossible. Even after knocking on the wall, he didn’t listen; when I asked him in the hallway to lower the volume through the closed door, he got rude and threatened to call the owners. We chose not to involve the police because of the great staff, but that behaviour is absolutely unacceptable. The owners should make it clearer that you’re not alone in the house. Since we were with family all day and only needed the place to sleep, the nightly disturbance ruined our rest. Too bad.
