It is a top location on the Utrechtse Heuvelrug, and the castle feels authentic—nothing fake. The furnishings are pieces with history, and the 800‑year‑old castle is well preserved, complete with a real old staircase to the tower. Nothing negative.

It was a truly unique and special stay in a beautiful castle. Jorris went above and beyond to make us comfortable and treated us to an amazing breakfast in a lovely dining room in the morning. It was a very unique experience. Honestly, we loved it and will be back!

Staying in an authentic, family‑owned castle was amazing. It was filled with fascinating original paintings and generations of memorabilia. The breakfast was incredible and the house manager’s personal service was second to none. Opening the gate was a bit hit‑and‑miss, but it eventually worked.

Everything was just fantastic: the location, the rooms, the beds, the breakfast, the atmosphere, the surroundings, the staff. Nothing at all.

The hosts were incredibly friendly and guided us around the area, even suggesting a bike ride to a nearby town for a lovely dinner. The breakfast was outstanding, and the grounds were breathtaking. We couldn’t find anything we didn’t like.
