They handed us delicious sweets, and the room was problem‑free and quiet, centrally located. In the evenings the area feels very lonely, but during the day it’s super calm for strolling to Zócalo. The price was a bit high, though it was peak season.

“Prenotazione all’ultimo minuto”

The spot’s great for daytime wandering, about a 10‑15 minute walk to Plaza Zócalo, but it gets sketchy after dark. The staff were very helpful, and there’s a bar inside the hotel open from 8‑20; it’s slow but decent. The building feels old and noisy – a bell outside the door kept ringing nonstop, and I woke up at night to unpleasant screams. Towels were old, torn, and frayed; the shower wasn’t separated from the rest of the bathroom, so after showering the whole room flooded. There’s no hair dryer anywhere in the hotel.

Parking and a restaurant are available. The location is good for getting anywhere in the city because it’s near the metro. The hotel is clean and shows signs of renovation, even though it’s an old building. The restaurant staff are extremely slow and open very late; they should open at least at 7:30 am so guests can leave early after breakfast, because when they do open there’s already a line and it fills up immediately. There are no lockers or basic storage furniture in the room for keeping essentials or simply folding clothes. The shower head isn’t separated from the sink or toilet, so everything gets wet while you shower.

The staff are lovely and always ready to help. The room was clean, just as described, and the value for money was excellent. The only drawback is the location – you need an Uber or taxi to get around, even though the historic centre is close.
