Located in central Gotha, Hotel am Schützenberg offers free Wi-Fi, individually decorated apartments, and private parking (fee applies). Apartments vary in size, with kitchen or kitchenette options, and spacious suites. All apartments feature allergy-friendly decor, satellite TV, and mosquito protection. The hotel is a 10-minute walk from Schloss Friedenstein palace and surrounded by mountains, castles, and woodlands, ideal for walking and cycling.

The room was very clean and cozy, with a wardrobe and a well-equipped kitchenette so you could cook a meal. Parking for 3 € per day is available and sufficient. Shops and the center of Gotha are easily reachable on foot. Breakfast was offered but we didn’t use it. We were very satisfied. You have to get used to a glass door as a bathroom door, which I only know from Asia.

We’ve stayed at the Hotel am Schützenberg again and again, and it always fits. The warm welcome and good breakfast are why we keep coming back.

The spot right next to the inner city is great, the breakfast offers an excellent variety, and the rooms are large and spotless.

The rooms are spacious, yet I ended up paying 3 Euro for a parking spot that didn’t exist; at night all parking spaces were taken. The breakfast, costing 18 Euro, felt rather mediocre, and the staff at breakfast were somewhat unfriendly.
