The hotel’s location was convenient, and my room stayed tidy and comfortable during my two‑and‑a‑half‑week stay. The bed was especially comfy for one person, and I liked the in‑room safe. The bathroom toiletries had a lovely fragrance, a nice little touch. Unfortunately, breakfast really hurt the experience: the selection was monotonous, lighter options were scarce, fruit was disappointing, and sometimes the melon was spoiled. Having to ask for a teaspoon every morning because staff claimed guests were stealing them felt absurd. More troubling were the hygiene problems: I had to sift through stacks of supposedly clean plates to find one without dried food residue, and tables were occasionally reset with clean cutlery but used napkins. I was especially uneasy seeing a visibly perspiring staff member in a sleeveless, open‑shouldered top while polishing and handling clean cutlery—since those utensils touch guests’ food, that practice was off‑putting and raised questions about contamination precautions. The other cleanliness issues I found only reinforced these concerns. For a four‑star hotel, I expect consistently high hygiene standards, proper employee attire, and careful handling of clean tableware, no matter who’s working.

“It was pleasant , but let down by certain details not being right.”

Breakfast was nice and good value. The staff were generally pleasant but seemed unsure of their duties, chatted too much and didn’t provide enough service. The shower in the cubicle was pathetic, with a weak spray—certainly not a 4*.
