The Quality Inn Wheelersburg is situated off Route 52, near attractions like the Southern Ohio Museum, Portsmouth Murals, and Historic Boneyfiddle District. The hotel is close to the Roy Rogers Hometown Memorabilia Exhibit, Carter Caves State Park, Portsmouth Little Theater, and Southern Ohio Speedway. Shawnee State University is eight miles away.

The staff were very kind and helpful, but the room had a strong musty smell. They gave us a room freshener, which helped. It seemed to be a handicap room based on the bathroom layout, and the commode was positioned too close to the wall on one side, making it difficult to sit facing forward.

I only found this hotel to be decent among the others in the area, which all had bad reviews. This was my second time staying here, and while it wasn’t the cleanest place I’d been to, it was clean enough that I’d come back again since my parents live in Wheelersburg. The breakfast selection was very limited in healthy options; most items were carbs and sweets, with just bananas and apples (I think). Kids probably enjoy the danishes and pancakes, and the coffee was good.
