Great accommodation on our way to Elba. You have to be careful not to arrive too late, so make sure to check the tight check‑in times for arriving guests or talk to the owner beforehand. It’s not easy to find either, since it’s tucked back from the street, accessed via a fairly inconspicuous gravel path. The property itself feels like a dream: a wonderfully restored old vineyard (our guess). All the modern comforts are there (okay, the Wi‑Fi isn’t super‑strong). Still, the biggest value is keeping the charm of this lovely old building. Many components were handmade and definitely not from a hardware store. Bravo! Everything comes together nicely. There’s plenty of space. The double beds are King‑Size and of very good quality. The rooms are on the first floor, reached by a fairly steep, restored natural stone staircase (about 12 steps). The steps aren’t very deep. For a 47 shoe size, 190 cm height, 130 kg weight, and luggage, it’s a small challenge both up and down. We would book again and again.
