The food was great, and the freshly baked bread was delicious. The scenery and night sky were beautiful, and the room was warm even without the stove. With no TV, I could relax while enjoying conversation and the view. The room also had a cute herb‑tea set and other items. It felt like an ideal rural Hokkaido setting—I’ll definitely visit again. The only thing that could improve is the small external light that turns on during dinner time between the cottage and the restaurant building; I used the flashlight in the room. Also, a bell on the room key for animal deterrence (though I never encountered animals) would make the 1–2 minute walk at night feel even safer.

The meals were very tasty, especially the bread, cheese, and pork stew, which my elementary‑school son kept refilling. The restaurant’s interior was lovely, and the location exceeded my expectations. In the evening, I could see distant deer and a Tanchō crane, enjoying nature. Instead of a bath, I received a nearby hot‑spring ticket, which was great since I only planned to shower. The bedroom was clean and had antique furnishings that made the interior nice, but the walls were thin and the door rattled due to structural gaps, which was a bit scary at night—especially since it was just the two of us. If more guests had stayed, the farm‑stay vibe might have felt more enjoyable.

I drew a lot of inspiration from the owners’ way of living in harmony with nature. The food, garden, and hospitality were all perfect! Everything exceeded my expectations.

The location is perfect – quiet and peaceful. Sachiko and Masato are very attentive and will give you great tips to explore the area. Breakfasts and dinners are generous and high quality (special shout‑out to the potato‑apple bread).
