The Bridge Inn

“Run down accommodation, poor facilities although staff friendly. Won't be staying again. Poor value.”

The room was clean and reasonably comfortable, quiet, and in a central spot, but there was no breakfast, no hairdryer, the bathroom wasn’t very clean—pubic hair was above the basin—and the corridor smelled unpleasant; the decor was very run down and it was expensive for what was offered.

I stayed in the area where I grew up, and it felt familiar.

“A great pub with rooms for a very reasonable price”

The place was lovely. I spent three nights there for a festival in Stirling, and the bus stop was right outside the door. The staff were amazing and friendly, and the locals we met were just as welcoming. The bar offered great prices, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit. The only downside was the hangover on Monday morning! 😂

“The bed was comfy”

The bed was comfortable and the towels were white and clean, and the location was perfect. However, this is the third time we’ve stayed here and we won’t return. After passing the entrance to the rooms, the entire place clearly needs a deep clean and a makeover. We were told last year that the rooms were ready for redecorating. The room we stayed in this time required a good clean, painting, and some decor attention. The large wardrobe, which had no doors, contained two bent coat hangers. Both window shelves were grubby. Only one bedside table had a lamp. There were no complimentary bottles of water or glasses. The television didn’t work properly. Information was minimal; it did say breakfast in room but no further details were given, and we didn’t receive breakfast. The room felt nothing like comforting or homely, just bare minimal. The bathroom was dirty and needed a deep clean and painting. Mould was present all around the shower base, both inside and out, as well as the sink, with dirty marks down the walls. The walls were thin and you could hear people in the other rooms. This year was the most we’ve ever paid, it was not a budget rate, and it was certainly not worth it or value for money.
