The house was roomy, tidy, and comfortable, featuring a barbecue, a pool with garden/terrace, and separate spaces inside for privacy, which is handy when staying with family. The radiators in the rooms didn’t work, but we didn’t need them thanks to the other heating.

The house was ideal for a weekend gathering. The downstairs open plan let everyone mingle while doing different activities—cooks could join the chat in the sofa corner thanks to the layout. Upstairs rooms were quiet and well insulated, with shutters keeping darkness in. The pool was a treat, and we were lucky with the weather to take a few swims, plus plenty of trails nearby. Highly recommended.
