The spot is very convenient to north Worcester and Holden, but the carpet looked and smelled like it was about 40 years old and needed replacing; the air conditioner blew dusty, not‑good‑smelling air; the shower’s shampoo, soap, and conditioner dispensers worked with difficulty; no breakfast was included and I had to go off‑site; for $255 total it was the most expensive room I’d had on my New England trip, yet it was the oldest and lowest quality, so I was shocked that such a high cost yielded a sub‑par room.

“Beautiful Chocksett Inn”

I loved everything about the Inn—beautifully decorated, quiet, and perfectly set on the road; I stayed for a nephew’s wedding in a spacious suite; the staff were friendly and caring, especially during a reception when my niece had a seizure and everyone kept her comfortable while calling paramedics; our meals were delicious; the after‑party was insanely fun; the only thing I didn’t like was that we had to use a dish drying cloth or paper towels instead of bath towels to dry our few dishes.

The spot was nicely located and pretty quiet, but the water was cold for a full week before they finally fixed it, and the place wasn’t very clean.

The location worked out fine, but there was no breakfast and arriving at 9:30 pm made finding the front desk a hassle; the signs for people coming by car after dark could have been better lit.

“Nice place to spend the night”

It’s a lovely place, very quiet on a Tuesday night, so the dining room was closed, which was fine because I just needed a room for the night before an early morning event; the desk staff were personable and helpful. It felt a bit dated, but still comfortable and clean; the elevator was broken, though I was on the first floor, and they emailed me beforehand about the elevator and dining room closure, which I appreciated.
