A top address, even earning a Bib in the Michelin Guide. We had a nice, large room with a terrace overlooking the countryside. The kitchen was outstanding and reasonably priced. It’s off the beaten path, but worth the detour. In summer you can sit outside nicely. All in all, a perfect stay.

I loved the accommodation—peaceful, beautifully decorated, comfortable, and with a really nice breakfast. If you decide to dine at the restaurant, the menu is quite limited and on the pricier side, but the accommodation itself is faultless.

The location and facilities were good, but the check‑in time was late and the checkout was early, leaving limited time to enjoy the Ely room and the area.

We loved the place and the decor. The setting was beautiful and the lady with the glasses that served us breakfast had great customer service skills. Breakfast was very good quality and lots of options. There was a mix up with the room on arrival as the image on the initial booking showed a sign saying The Barn. I thought that was the building we were staying in, said my name and that I booked . The ladies took us to a big barn that was beautiful but bigger than expected. We had been travelling for 3 hours and took a bottle of wine back to the room. Just after 10.30pm there was frantic knocking at the door. The manager asked to confirm our names and then went away to check. He returned saying we were in the wrong place and had to move all our things to another building called Walnut House. I completely understand that we were in the wrong place, but the situation wasn't handled very well by the manager and we felt very embarrassed. I've read other reviews that the staff seemed awkward around the manager and wanted to feed this back for other people staying. The room we were moved to also had no towels or glasses so it was like we weren't meant to be there either
