The property is gorgeous in terms of location and historic charm, but the staff are largely absent, charging €300 a night without any guidance on what to do or where to go, even on arrival, which doesn’t justify the price. The breakfast jam is a joke, the lunch bread is frozen, and the coffee and cappuccino machines in the mornings are absurd; a place this small should be impeccably cared for.

All the rooms were stunningly decorated and unique, the lunch and dinner food was exceptionally tasty, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was the Tower room, close to the dining area, a beautiful and spacious fit for its category, but it can get noisy in the evenings or the next day depending on how loud the guests are at dinner.
