Value Hotel Nice

I didn't get any breakfast, but the location was close to the bus stop.

I imagined that for Singapore it was relatively affordable; the room and hotel were clean and they let us keep our luggage after check‑out. We arrived in the afternoon and the room smelled of tobacco, but we thought it would clear up when we opened the door. At night the smell was too strong to sleep, so I went to reception and the front desk lady refused to offer any solution, claiming she’d told me earlier. Luckily her colleague was very friendly, ignored the lady, came to the room, confirmed the smell made sleeping impossible, and swapped us for a new room. I rate it a 5 instead of a 0 thanks to that gentleman. The new room was very small but at least it was sleep‑friendly.

The location, cleanliness, and wifi connectivity were solid, yet the TV had no entertainment channels.

“Up to expectation”

The room was small yet comfortable and clean, with a tiny toilet that works fine for a single guest; the quiet policy starting at 10 pm keeps noise down, a hairdryer is supplied, and there's a dedicated tap for drinking water that I keep refilling. The cramped space makes the toilet and room feel close together, and water sometimes splashes out; the wall isn’t fully soundproof but it's acceptable, and the table is barely large enough for a phone and bottle. It’s a bit of a walk from the MRT, which is fine for someone who can stroll, and I wasn’t sure the air‑conditioner worked because I didn’t feel much airflow, though I prefer a warmer room so that’s not an issue.

The service was good, but the service was also good.
