The place exudes serenity and peace, the lady staff are helpful, local food is available for an extra fee at dinner, and breakfast can be ordered in advance; the setting is simple, clean, and ideal for travelers who love nature and a supportive owner with local connections.

Ian, the owner‑manager, is a genuinely helpful person who goes above and beyond to address any negatives; he owns a nice restaurant in Saitospan where he served us excellent pork with spinach, and he provided detailed itineraries that outshine Google or ChatGPT. I’ll definitely book his accommodation again if I return to Cherapunji. The only downside was a tree with rock berries on the property, which reminded me of the berries I used to eat at Taradevi campsite in Simla during the Bharath Scouts national integration camp.

The place is cheap and affordable, but very few guests can manage; I had a bad experience there—electricity was out the entire night, there was no water in the bathroom, and no drinkable water at all. We had to handle food and water ourselves; I collected the little water that ran from the tap to survive, and we charged our phones with the powerbanks we bought.
