A beautiful hotel right on the beach, with very pleasant staff and a hearty breakfast.

The estate is lovely, with a large room on the upper floor of the main building (two floors without an elevator) overlooking the garden. The breakfast is excellent and the staff are courteous. When the house is full, the indoor parking gets tight, but there is plenty of outdoor parking. Royan is quickly reachable, and Saint‑Palais just around the corner offers all the shops and restaurants you need. It’s a great, quiet location. A luggage lift would have been appreciated, though it’s not technically possible, and someone could have helped if I had asked.
