Very clean. The host has contacted me after my stay and has been rather rude, accusing us of using coffee pods (we couldn’t even find the machine) and using too much hot water. (We didn’t shower while we stayed.) They’re also upset that the sofa bed was used and insist that the sofa bed isn’t listed. I’m not sure why they’re so upset, but it seems they are.

Carl and Sarah greeted us warmly, and everything was just right. The place was spotless and had a beautiful bee theme. It’s easy to see why it earns such a high score. The welcome pack was a thoughtful touch. The area was beautiful and quiet, very relaxing. Carl even came to see us off and checked that everything was fine on the morning we left. Nothing was wrong; it was perfect.

I stayed again at Bimble Lodge and the weather was pleasant. If you’re after a quiet, relaxing break in beautiful surroundings, this spot fits the bill. There’s a bit of noise from occasional cars on the lane, but as a ‘noiseaphobe’ it didn’t bother me. Langport and Somerton are a very short drive away, both offering a range of shops to suit most needs. Langport boasts lovely river walks, while Somerton is a charming little town with a Co‑op, and both have free parking. Just up the road is the Old Pound Inn, a friendly pub with tasty food, and Bere Cider Farm is a short distance down the road, featuring a great café and plenty of local products. We also visited Lytes Cary Manor and Montecute, both nearby. For both returning and new guests, I’ve added a picture of the newly installed path, and a fun photo taken at Lytes Cary Manor.

The bumble‑bee theme is a delight – the caravan décor and outdoor area have received a lot of love and attention. It’s one of the cleanest spots I’ve ever stayed at, and the hosts stocked the caravan with a variety of breakfast items, so having bread and milk ready on arrival was very convenient. I can’t praise this accommodation enough, and the included parking is a huge plus. The only minor gripe: I’d have liked a door cover or curtain (I used to have one in a static caravan), and I couldn’t find a clothes horse or a sink sponge – but those are small things.

Finding the location was straightforward and the welcome at arrival was great. I was left alone unless I needed anything. Breakfast was as advertised – nothing special, but fine. The place did shake when a large vehicle passed by, and parking was a bit tricky to angle correctly while reversing.
