Overall a very nice and welcoming place. The fireplace was the best. Really nice spot to rest and recharge after a whole day on foot. In general everything was ok. In the small room some additonal furniture (a nightstand or some helfs/a rack) could be useful

The location is great for relaxing by the lake when the weather’s nice. The fire pit is comfortable and the restaurant offers tasty food with a cozy bar. Keep in mind that the town’s restaurants close around 18 h, but the hostel also serves good meals and offers rooms with private bathrooms.

“Fantastique, excellent logement, idéal pour faire la région de Hakone !”

This is the best accommodation I’ve had over my five weeks in Japan! It’s warm and located in a great hiking area. The staff are very welcoming and breakfast is delicious. The central area with the fireplace is ideal for meeting other travelers. The lockers outside the room are secure and you get a personal key. There are few quality restaurants nearby and taking the bus can be inconvenient, but that’s unrelated to the lodging, which does offer some dishes in the evenings.

The fireplace area is very cozy, and the breakfast is spectacular. The double room with lake views is spacious and comfortable. Checking in at 16 h feels a bit late, though you can leave your luggage at reception in the meantime.

“Excedente”

The atmosphere feels very welcoming, the fire stays lit, and there’s a nice space to rest; breakfast is hearty and delicious. The room is small and the ceiling is a bit low, but we slept well.
