We were greeted very warmly, and the building looked impressive from the outside. The dinner was excellent and the service was very attentive, so we’d gladly come back for a meal but not for a night’s stay. When we entered the room, we were disappointed: it was very hot, the curtains were drawn but the heat didn’t leave the room. A small fan helped a little. We struggled all night because we couldn’t open the balcony door, which leads directly past the room, and we could hear large kitchen fans. I’m convinced not all rooms were occupied, and a cooler room (not facing west) could have been assigned. The price‑value ratio didn’t feel right.

It’s right in the middle of Hersfeld. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. Dinner at the hotel was excellent. There is no elevator.

We were warmly received. All employees were very friendly and helpful. We gladly recommend this place because everything matched our expectations. Every room left a brilliant impression. The breakfast was also great – plentiful, varied, and energising. The only issue I noticed was that the TV in this size, even with my glasses, was insufficient. It would have been fine if the TV had been placed at the foot of the bed. However, we came to Bad Hersfeld for the summer games, and because I am wheelchair‑bound, it mattered that the hotel was close to the theatre, which earned it 5 points.

A venerable house right in the centre of Bad Hersfeld, thoughtfully furnished with great attention to detail. Friendly staff and comfortable beds.
