Maison Albatros, a chic adults‑only guest house in Pyla‑sur‑Mer, offers airy rooms with sea views, air‑conditioning, private bathrooms, and balconies or terraces. The hosts are lovely and go above and beyond to give a great experience. The room and bathroom have a private entrance. The bed and pillows are top quality and very comfortable. There are lots of little extras everywhere you look. The beach and great restaurants are a five‑minute drive away. It’s a peaceful, quiet neighbourhood just around the bend from Arcachon. If you book – and you should – give Sam some pets from Greg.

We really enjoyed our stay at Maison Albatros. Thanks to Ute for her very friendly welcome. The room was cozy and set apart from the main house. The bedding was truly comfortable and the air‑conditioning was a welcome touch. Everything was spotless. Towels and water bottles were provided throughout our stay. Thanks again, Ute; we’ll definitely return if we come back to Pyla!

The place was gorgeous, with seating areas at both the front and back, and it felt spacious and spotless. Everything was thoughtfully arranged, from the wide selection of cosmetics to the bite cream that helped keep the mosquitoes at bay. They even stocked crockery, tea, coffee, beer, and water in the fridge for us. The owners, along with their friendly dog, were very welcoming. Parking was easy and the location was close to all the sights; a car was handy, though a walk to the seafront would have been possible. Everything was perfect. Nothing to dislike.

The private host was very nice and helpful, everything was lovingly set up, and the terrace was beautiful with various cozy seating options. The quiet location above Boulevard d’Ocean unfortunately makes a car necessary.

The comfort, the space, the peaceful setting, the self‑contained nature of the place, and the kindness of Ute and Jean‑Louis Sam (the Labrador who greets you politely and well‑behaved) were all excellent.
