The place was truly exceptional—great food, knowledgeable guide, and a vibe that made me feel like I was seeing Brazil in a whole new way. The tours were thoughtfully arranged, and even the kids had plenty to enjoy. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable Brazilian adventure.

Staying at Casa Barreirinho was a wonderful experience. The common area is immaculate, surrounded by preserved caatinga and plenty of birds, with a refreshing pool and a lookout that offers stunning sunrise and sunset views. Our room had a private bathroom and was very comfortable; the air conditioning was so effective that we rarely needed to turn it on, and the shower water warmed up nicely from the day’s heat. The owner Uwe and the staff welcomed us warmly and were naturally attentive.

The site boasts an amazing landscape with a lookout that lets you see Serra da Capivara, and the sunrise and sunset were unforgettable. The chalet itself was cozy with a good bed, but the remote location meant that frogs kept popping up from the bathroom drain, which made showering and using the toilet a bit of a hassle. Since it was just a one‑night stay, we didn’t bother with a full shower.

Located right in front of Serra da Capivara, this spot feels like a true bed‑and‑breakfast rather than a typical inn. Uwe and Joelma are fantastic hosts, making the breakfast experience feel personal and welcoming.
