I booked for the day I wanted to arrive, but when I got there, I found out there was a mistake and I'd booked for the next month. The woman was kind and gave me a room anyway, but she asked for cash payment like it was a discount, which I only realized after paying her. I couldn't cancel through the booking platform, so I essentially paid twice, but there was no one to talk to. She just refused to return even a part of the money.

“Paid hotel booking turns into night of horror”

I'm still trying to process the absolute nightmare I had with this homestay owner. We arrived before 20 pm, expecting a warm welcome, but instead, we were met with hostility. The owner pulled out a 2-foot long sword and chased us off, and things only got worse from there. He started pushing and punching me, and my friend intervened, but the owner retaliated with brass knuckles, knocking out his top three front teeth.

“It was a good stay”

The one thing that really stood out about this place was how clean it was. The room was spotless, and the bathroom was sparkling. However, the location was a bit of a letdown, it was a bit too far from the city center for my liking.
