Hotel Aurora, Merano, sits on the historic Passer Promenade opposite the thermal baths, offering a prime riverfront setting. The 2026 renovation by Hannes Peer Architecture refreshed 18 guestrooms and all public areas, adding a Listening Bar, terrace, and modern lobby. Guests enjoy air‑conditioned rooms, minibars, private baths, shuttle to major airports, and easy access to Trauttmansdorff Gardens and Merano’s old town.

The location is good, but I booked an electric‑car spot in the underground garage and there were no charging outlets or space. Merano uses a separate RFID system that doesn’t work with other systems, so I had to walk 1.2 km to a charger twice. The number‑recognition system also failed, which is poor service and nobody seemed to take it seriously.

We always enjoy staying at Hotel Aurora; it feels welcoming, has a unique, cozy vibe, and the new modern renovation is very cohesive—congratulations!
