The location was good. The male receptionist was rude and disinterested at best, but the catering staff were fantastic with chalk and cheese.

The location is great, the staff friendly, and it’s perfect for a one‑night stay with a decent breakfast. Overall it feels a bit old and tired, especially the bathroom; it was okay for one night but definitely needs an upgrade.

We especially liked the friendly and helpful staff; we were treated like old friends when we arrived at the Angel. It’s disappointing to learn they’ve been bought out and everyone is leaving, ready for a rebound by new owners!
