The stay shines mainly because of its unique atmosphere—if you want something extraordinary, you should definitely try it. The owners managed to fit a bathroom block with a spacious shower and toilet into the space of an old stone cellar with a vaulted ceiling, partially carved into the rock. The rest of the room is taken up by a large, comfortable, stylish bed with a metal frame. Communication with the owners and key hand‑over were smooth and remote. Even arriving later than the stated check‑in time caused no problem. The water filling the boiler is a bit noisy, as is the air conditioning, and the room has a typical cellar smell that might not suit everyone.

The room, carved from stone, is well cared for and very striking, and the view over Ragusa Ibla is spectacular.
