“Sehr gute Unterkunft für Kurztrip”
This place feels like the saying “where foxes and hares say good night” – no complaints, as we knew beforehand; the secluded setting offers plenty of calm, the rooms are clean and tidy, the balcony is spacious and inviting, and breakfast is served outdoors or indoors depending on the weather with fruit that seems supermarket‑sourced rather than local; regional grapes are missing from the breakfast, and vegetables like tomatoes or cucumbers aren’t offered, which is a shame. The highlight is the well‑maintained outdoor pool overlooking the vineyards, perfect after a bike ride when the weather is suitable. Dinner is good but the selection could improve; the sauce on the “Vitello Tonnato” is almost all fatty mayonnaise with little tuna, no capers, anchovies, or spices, which is disappointing. The typical Friulian dish, Frico, isn’t served, though it would be great with a sour cream dip. The bacon and cheese platters are excellent! When no staff are around, you can drink wine from the outdoor fridge, but the prices for the offered drinks are missing; a simple information card next to the fridge would fix that. Overall, we really enjoyed the holiday and would recommend the area anytime.
