“Amazing value, staff & views”

Amazing value!! Lovely staff (thanks Ayoub & Mohammed). Amazing views & location for the price, in a fairly newly renovated but traditional 3-storey building (plus roof terrace). Spacious common areas - kitchen, upstairs lounge & roof (which has 270 degree view of harbour, town & medina). A range of rooms, most with bar fridge, and 2 with harbour views, Tvs in all rooms including lounge if you like TV . A spotlessly clean budget hostel with a view steps from teeny grocery stores for budget cooking and close to the Petit Socco in the heart of the Medina. I'll be back!!

“À éviter”

The location. I had a very bad experience at Yakout Hostel. When I arrived, I had to wait about 2 hours before anyone was available to greet me. When I called to ask what to do, I was simply told to wait longer, with no apology or consideration for the wait time. The first room I was assigned was right next to the reception, under the stairs. It was very small, uncomfortable, and lacked light. Honestly, the room did not match the price paid at all. Fortunately, on the second day, another person was at the reception and was much kinder and more understanding. After asking to change rooms, they offered me another on the ground floor, larger and a bit more pleasant. However, cleanliness remains a major problem: the toilets and common areas were dirty, which really ruined the stay. For the price charged and considering the state of the rooms and lack of hygiene, I do not recommend this establishment. There are clearly things that need improvement, especially the reception, comfort, and most importantly, hygiene.

“Buen precio y buena ubicación. Ideal para jóvenes aventureros.”

I was there for two weeks and Ahmed was incredibly friendly and always ready to help with anything I needed, which made my stay much better; the only downside was that in the first few days a family with kids was making a lot of noise and leaving more mess than they cleaned up.
