“Dissapointment”

I arrived at 15:00 only to find the room still unprepared; the garden was a mess with an old car body in the yard and the grass was overgrown. Inside, the room and bathroom were dirty, and there was no hot water—had to call to get the geyser turned on. Getting into the property was a struggle because no one answered the phone, and I ended up feeling like a nuisance to the neighbor.

“We were comfortable and near our place where we attended the meetings.”

The unit was comfortable, though the double bed felt a bit small; it would have helped if the extra bed had been set up so we could choose between the two. Sue welcomed us warmly and supplied tea and coffee in the unit. The bathroom was clean and functional, but the owner should repaint and clean the tiles that had cement on them, and the house itself needs a fresh coat of paint. First impressions were a bit drab and uncared for, yet inside everything was kept in an acceptable, clean state by the manager.

I think one of the few positives was staying close to the airport since we had an early flight the next morning. The host was polite and helpful, and the room was spacious. However, the house is old and needs some updates and maintenance; the walls in the room and bathroom have mold, the house alarm rang several times during the night, and there is no mini‑fridge in the room.
